The isoMUSE flute studios draws upon nearly 75 years of musical experience in music performance and over 50 as music educators. Dr. James Paul Sain, professor of music composition at the University of Florida, was originally trained as a classical flutist having studied for a decade with Fredrick Baker, principal flutist with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Over 40 years of experience as a performer of classical music, avant-garde, jazz and popular music has prepared him as a musician's musician.

His performance experience spans from large symphonic ensembles (orchestra, wind ensemble and big band jazz) through intimate settings (woodwind quintet, mixed ensembles and jazz combo) to solo instrumental performance.

He is joined by his wife, Cynthia Sain, who was likewise trained as a classical flautist. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from San Diego State University where she studied with noted flute pedagogue, Karen Reynolds.
